PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vicky Vegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Mars (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vegas misses with a low kick as Mars jumps back.

Vegas feints and as Mars raises his hands in defense, Vegas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mars escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vegas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vegas does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Mars has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vegas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mars had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vegas is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mars Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vegas's back instead.
