The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Negri shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Clarke sprawls well. Clarke wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Negri gets slowly back to his feet.
Clarke drops down looking for a counter takedown but Negri sprawls and moves away.
Clarke swats away the attempt to clinch by Negri.
Negri has a takedown stuffed.
Clarke changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Negri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Clarke is fending him off so far but Negri persists. Nope, Clarke circles away and we're back to standing.
Clarke feinted with a counter takedown.
Mark Clarke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toff Negri.
Negri shoots for a takedown but Clarke saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Negri has Clarke up against the cage in a clinch.

Clarke has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Negri is trying to keep an underhook but Clarke manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Clarke in particular looking to stall.
Clarke drops an elbow to the side of Negri's head.
Clarke is nestled in close to Negri, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Negri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clarke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Negri is looking for a sweep. Clarke is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Clarke frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Clarke fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Clarke postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Negri out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Clarke goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
