This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Charles Lee! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Blonde Brunson!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Brunson looks for a takedown but Lee sprawls well.
Brunson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lee pinned against the cage. Lee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lee stuffs the takedown.
Charles Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blonde Brunson.

Lee jumps guard and drags Brunson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lee is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brunson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lee.

We've been informed that Brunson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Lee has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brunson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lee uses his free foot to push down on Brunson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Brunson.

Brunson tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Lee has control of Brunson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Brunson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Lee is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Brunson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brunson shrugs it off.

Lee with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Brunson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lee has hold of Brunson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Brunson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
