Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jumbo Johns (ranked 23133 p4p, 21713 weight class) and Dru Quick (ranked 195 p4p, 186 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Quick's choice of entrance music: Gangster's Paradise- Coolio. Dru Quick is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johns throws a leg kick which misses Quick's front leg but catches the back leg as Quick tries to avoid it.
Quick throws a looping overhand right but Johns ducks down to avoid it.
Quick lands a head shot.

It looks like Jumbo Johns has been cut.
Quick throws a leg kick
and Johns cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Dru Quick has been cut.
Johns misses with a hook.
Quick scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Johns doesn't seem bothered though.
Johns slips under a jab.
Johns looks to throw the jab but Quick is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johns scores with a sloppy right hand. Quick should have avoided that one.
Johns throws an off balance right hand
and Quick makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Johns is breathing heavily.
Quick darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johns keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Quick.

Quick clips Johns with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Johns a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.

Johns is rocked!
Quick cracks Johns with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

After winning the bout, Dru Quick thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
