Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Strong (ranked 5632 p4p, 24943 weight class) and Larry Lewandowski (ranked 582 p4p, 623 weight class). Strong kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sublime - 40oz to Freedom. Lewandowski is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Welcome to Bavaria!. Rocky Strong could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Larry Lewandowski's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rocky Strong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Larry Lewandowski!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Strong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Lewandowski.
Strong shoots in but Lewandowski avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Strong thumps Lewandowski with a low kick.
Strong throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lewandowski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lewandowski.
Strong has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lewandowski is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Strong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lewandowski throws a body kick that misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lewandowski checks a leg kick.
Strong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lewandowski as he avoids it easily.
Strong fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lewandowski checks it well.
Strong sets himself, and Lewandowski steps forward looking for the clinch! Strong avoids it this time.

Lewandowski moves into range and clinches up with Strong.
Strong tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lewandowski has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Strong uses from the top position.
Strong wants to stand and escape but instead Lewandowski has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Strong has his hands on Lewandowski's head, controlling the position.
Lewandowski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that Lewandowski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lewandowski's coach down at LAVA Core Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lewandowski's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Strong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lewandowski cracks a nice hook into Strong's ribs.

Lewandowski tries to pull guard but Strong won't allow it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rocky Strong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lewandowski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Strong.

Lewandowski scores with a takedown into Strong's guard.
Lewandowski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Strong wants to sweep here but Lewandowski controlling him for the moment.

Strong wants to get back to his feet but Lewandowski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

A close round but Larry Lewandowski will probably get the nod.

and Lewandowski counters with a head kick.
Lewandowski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Strong feints a jab promting Lewandowski to slip. Strong then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lewandowski slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Strong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lewandowski tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Lewandowski throws a nice looking combination but Strong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Strong looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Strong wants to clinch up but Lewandowski keeps it at a distance.
Strong darts in looking for a takedown but Lewandowski gets double underhooks and turns Strong into the cage.
Lewandowski is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Strong lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Still in the clinch, Strong scores with a nice short uppercut.

and Lewandowski counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

enabling Lewandowski to counter with a crisp jab.

Rocky Strong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Strong throws a head kick but Lewandowski moves out of range.
Lewandowski is looking for the big counter here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Strong tries to grapple but his opponent circles
so Lewandowski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Larry Lewandowski has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lewandowski looking to sit in guard and control but Strong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Strong trying to control the position from guard on top but Lewandowski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lewandowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Strong slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Lewandowski is pulling down on Strong's head to control his posture.
Lewandowski pushes Strong off and scrambles back to his feet.
Lewandowski takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Strong connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lewandowski is rocked!
Strong moves into the clinch successfully.
Lewandowski is still on wobbly legs! Can Strong finish him?
Strong jumps into guard, dragging Lewandowski to the mat.
Strong is looking to cinch up a triangle. Lewandowski throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Strong's body to avoid the submission. Strong has instead reached around Lewandowski's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Strong arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Rocky Strong!
