Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leef Ung (ranked 3304 p4p, 4636 weight class) and Ariihau Paeniu (ranked 435 p4p, 535 weight class). Paeniu has chosen OCN as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paeniu clinches with his opponent.

Paeniu gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Paeniu postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ung has Paeniu pulled in close to control his posture.
Ung might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ung wants to sweep but no luck.
Paeniu chips away with some ground and pound.
Ung wants to sweep here but Paeniu controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ung utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Paeniu with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ung wants to sweep but no luck.
Ung is pulling down on Paeniu's head. It's preventing any offense from Paeniu, at least for the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Ung drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ung knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Paeniu on the ground.

Paeniu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ung defends it easily.

Ung is really struggling to control Paeniu but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Ung lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ung keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Paeniu's head.

Ung slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Paeniu is still in real trouble! Can Ung finish him?
Paeniu throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Ung arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Paeniu's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

After winning the bout, Leef Ung thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
