PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lisbon Shore (ranked 4737 p4p, 4285 weight class) and Ikhmail Transnitritov (ranked 0 p4p, 433 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shore misses with a double jab
and Transnitritov counters with a head kick.

Transnitritov moves into the clinch.
Transnitritov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Transnitritov is trying to pull guard but Shore has him pressed against the cage.

Transnitritov gets control of Shore's arms and successfully pulls guard. Transnitritov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Transnitritov has his hands on Shore's head, controlling the position.
Transnitritov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shore manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shore wants to stand and escape but Transnitritov is having none of it.

Shore kicks Transnitritov off and gets to his feet.

Transnitritov rushes Shore and presses him up against the cage.

Transnitritov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Shore gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lisbon Shore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ikhmail Transnitritov.
Transnitritov tries to pull guard but Shore won't allow it.

Transnitritov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Shore, as that shot connected.
Shore goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Transnitritov misses with a takedown attempt - Shore sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shore lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Transnitritov backs up against the cage.

A jab-cross combination lands for Shore and sends Transnitritov crashing to the mat! Shore follows him down to the mat - Transnitritov regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Ikhmail Transnitritov has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Transnitritov is positioning himself well to prevent Shore advancing to mount.

Transnitritov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shore's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shore's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shore defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Transnitritov's arms.
Shore is trying to get back to his feet but Transnitritov has full control of the position and if anything, Shore has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Shore knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Transnitritov on the ground.

Transnitritov keeps control of the position easily here as Shore tries to buck him off.

Transnitritov has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Shore's body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lisbon Shore will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Shore walks forward, straight into a front kick from Transnitritov.
Shore digs a good hook to Transnitritov's body.
Shore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Transnitritov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shore sprawls well initially but Transnitritov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Shore wants to stand back up but Transnitritov manages to pass into side control.

Transnitritov is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Shore is trying to escape and Transnitritov transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Shore is forced to tap! Nice work there by Transnitritov! Very nice indeed!
