Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Sins (ranked 24538 p4p, 22772 weight class) and Greg Bustack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Sins had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Sins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Greg Bustack!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bustack tries to close the distance and clinch but Sins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bustack is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bustack tries to clinch there but Sins circles away.
Sins lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Sins drives through and clinches with Bustack against the cage.
Bustack is looking to take this one to the mat.
Bustack has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sins after a bit of a struggle.
Sins is pressed up against the cage. Bustack has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sins down to the mat. Sins avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Johnny Sins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Bustack.

Bustack rushes Sins and presses him up against the cage.
Bustack tries to score a body lock takedown but Sins shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Bustack drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sins gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bustack avoids a wild elbow strike from Sins.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sins manages to pull guard.
Sins on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sins tries to get out of the position.
Sins wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bustack defends it easily.

Sins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bustack is one step ahead there.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sins holds on and takes a little breather.

Sins has his foot on Bustack's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bustack works his way back into a safe position though.
Sins wants to stand up but Bustack is controlling him.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sins is on top in guard.

Sins has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Sins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bustack for as long as he can get away with.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Sins stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Greg Bustack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bustack moves into the clinch.
Bustack drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Sins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sins swats away the attempt to clinch by Bustack.
Sins misses with a kick to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sins tries to bum rush Bustack with a series of wild strikes but Bustack uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bustack tries to clinch but Sins is having none of it.
Sins thinks about countering with a body kick.
A jab lands there for Sins.

Sins clinches with his opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Bustack fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sins swats away the attempt to clinch by Bustack.
Sins swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Bustack fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sins wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Sins misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bustack tries to clinch but Sins moves out of range.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sins.

Sins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bustack has escaped the position, nice work there.
Sins lands a few punches from side control.
Bustack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sins tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Sins advances nicely into full mount.
Sins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Sins.
The referee warns Bustack that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Sins is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bustack is surviving well by controlling Sins's body position as best he can.
Sins scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Bustack?

Sins lands a couple of good shots and Bustack has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Sins is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Bustack is breathing heavily.
Sins has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Bustack.

Sins punishes Bustack with strikes from the back mount.
Sins biding his time, looking for the opening.

Bustack is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Sins gets his way!
Bustack is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Johnny Sins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sins lands a lovely overhand right.

Bustack tries to keep at a distance but Sins has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bustack is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sins gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bustack changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sins fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Sins takes the fight into the clinch.
Bustack wants a takedown but no success here.
Johnny Sins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Bustack.

Sins has Bustack pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sins pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bustack tumbling to the mat - Sins dives into Bustack's guard.
Bustack is wriggling around but Sins manages to pass to half guard.

Sins seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Sins wants to stand up but Bustack has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Sins is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Bustack takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sins lands a heavy elbow.

Sins lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Bustack hang on?
Sins pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Sins controlling from the full mount.
Sins cracks Bustack with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Bustack is rocked!
Sins unloading with bombs!
Bustack is still in real trouble! Can Sins finish him?
Bustack takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Sins postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Bustack bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Sins and the fight is over!
