Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Okafor (ranked 61 p4p, 196 weight class) and Cesare Tiramanti (ranked 11 p4p, 34 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Okafor!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 2, fighting out of New York, Cesare Tiramanti!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Tiramanti
and Okafor counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Tiramanti pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

A decent looking cross lands there for Tiramanti.

Tiramanti has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tiramanti throws a jab but it's blocked by Okafor.
Okafor fires out a quick counter leg kick but Tiramanti just manages to avoid it.
Tiramanti has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Okafor finds it's way round the side to connect with Tiramanti's head.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Tiramanti lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice takedown defense from Okafor. No joy for Tiramanti on that attempt.

Tiramanti fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Okafor manages to avoid it.

Mike Okafor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cesare Tiramanti.
Tiramanti with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Okafor to score with a decent uppercut.

and Okafor counters with a huge left! Tiramanti is in big trouble! He's backing up but Okafor isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Tiramanti from any more damage. A dominating finish by Okafor!
