Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iranian Hulk (ranked 5575 p4p, 24683 weight class) and Jay Howard Ii (ranked 519 p4p, 595 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Howard Ii!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hulk closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Howard Ii to the mat! Howard Ii manages to get full guard.
Hulk stays in close to Howard Ii's body and controls the position.
Hulk postures up in Howard Ii's guard and throws a big left but Howard Ii blocks it.
Howard Ii working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hulk.
Hulk throwing strikes but missing.
Hulk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Howard Ii works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Howard Ii avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hulk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hulk is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Howard Ii keeping full guard, as Hulk tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hulk throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hulk stands up over Howard Ii, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Howard Ii is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hulk controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hulk working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Hulk landing with the ground and pound.
Hulk connects with a couple of short punches.
Hulk slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hulk distracts Howard Ii with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
It looks like Jay Howard Ii has been cut.
Hulk controlling from the top position.

Hulk stands up over Howard Ii, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Howard Ii is rocked!
Howard Ii looks winded!
Hulk gets to his feet and stands over Howard Ii, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Howard Ii felt that one! Hulk unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Howard Ii from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Iranian Hulk!
