The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rose goes for a double leg but Charles avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Charles continues to drive forward.
Luis Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rose steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Charles.
A telegraphed right hand from Charles misses the target.
Rose pushes Charles up against the cage in a clinch.
