Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edd Norton (ranked 1807 p4p, 2470 weight class) and Tj Pen (ranked 263 p4p, 354 weight class). Edd Norton had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edd Norton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tj Pen! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Norton avoids it really well and circles away. Norton rushes Pen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Norton stalling against the cage.
Pen tries for a takedown. No joy.
Pen struggles to land a body shot inside as Norton controls his hands.
Pen is trying to force a seperation but Norton has the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Norton slows down the pace here.
Norton blocks an elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norton stalling.
Pen can't break the clinch.
Norton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Norton avoids it really well and circles away. Edd Norton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tj Pen. Pen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Norton defends well and Pen ends up having to push Norton into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Norton went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Pen wants to clinch. Pen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Norton tries to avoid it but Pen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Norton to the ground. Norton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Edd Norton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Norton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Norton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pen. Norton lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pen fails with a takedown attempt. Pen shoots in and drives through. Norton sprawls well. It looked like Norton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Norton throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Pen's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Norton dives in looking to finish as Pen flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Norton's strikes! Norton is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Pen's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Pen was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edd Norton! During a confident post fight interview, Edd Norton thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
