Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eric Fassett (ranked 4214 p4p, 4485 weight class) and Rashad Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawson has chosen “Who Do We Trust?” by Method Man and Nas as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fassett takes a swing at Dawson's ribcage but misses.

Dawson clinches up against the cage.

Dawson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dawson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fassett manages to avoid it.
A head kick from Dawson lands but Fassett takes it in his stride.
Fassett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Fassett decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dawson's guard.
Fassett could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dawson is wriggling around but Fassett manages to pass to half guard.
Fassett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dawson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dawson is trying to stand.
Fassett takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dawson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fassett scores with a couple of nice shots.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fassett working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Dawson has hold of Fassett's hands but Fassett slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Dawson is trying to escape back to his feet but Fassett uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Fassett lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dawson down.
Dawson wants to get back to his feet but Fassett drags him back down.
Dawson is not content to let Fassett control the position.

Dawson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Fassett connects with a decent elbow.
Fassett is working Dawson over with some ground and pound from side control.

Fassett is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dawson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dawson pushes Fassett away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Fassett gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Dawson is looking to get back to his feet here but Fassett is keeping cool and he's managed to take Dawson's back.
Fassett lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Fassett punishes Dawson with strikes from the back mount.

Fassett is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Dawson won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Fassett off his unconscious opponent!
