Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Swift (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heavy Metal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heavy Metal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chuck Swift! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Heavy Metal! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Metal misses with a series of wild punches.
Swift looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Swift lands a nice hook to Metal's body. Metal takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Metal looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action! Swift closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Metal takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Metal trying to remain calm as Swift controls from the top position. Metal stops Swift from passing to mount. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Metal is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Swift moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swift landing a few strikes. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Chuck Swift just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Swift closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Swift looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Swift drops an elbow to the side of Metal's head. Swift trying to mount his opponent but Metal defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swift seems to be working for a kimura but Metal defends the submission attempt. Swift controlling the pace. Swift thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Metal tries to get to full guard but Swift has control of the leg. Swift thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Metal's head.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Swift shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Swift working Metal over with strikes here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swift lands a nice shot to the head. Swift controlling from the full mount. Swift landing strikes, looking to finish! Swift sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Chuck Swift just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. A slapping body kick lands there for Swift. Swift throws a left that rocks Metal and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Swift dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Metal regain composure!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Swift tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It looks like Heavy Metal has been cut. Swift shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Swift slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Metal keeping moving, preventing Swift from controlling successfully. Swift's corner is telling him to maintain position. Metal is trying to control the position but Swift postures up. Swift won't allow Metal to get back to his feet. Swift advances position into side control! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Swift controlling the position from side mount. Chuck Swift overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swift seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Metal for as long as he can get away with. Swift has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Metal! Swift looking to control and managing it successfully. Swift landing punches. Swift scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Metal?

That's two minutes gone in the round. Swift lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Metal at a distance.
Swift drives through with a takedown into guard. Swift slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Swift is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Swift stays in close to Metal's body and controls the position. Metal working a defensive guard here.
Swift stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Metal swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swift's corner is telling him to maintain position. Metal keeping full guard, as Swift tries to pass. Swift looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Metal working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Swift.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Metal being controlled here, momentarily. Swift has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Swift is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Metal can do to turn this around? Swift looking to pass the guard. Swift preventing the sweep. Swift is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chuck Swift dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Heavy Metal's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
A head kick from Swift lands but Metal takes it in his stride. Metal tries to keep at a distance but Swift has taken the fight into the clinch. Metal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Swift feints and as Metal raises his hands in defense, Swift changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Swift is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Swift scores with a one two! Metal had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Swift moves out of range as Metal strikes. Swift lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Metal sprawling to the canvas. Swift follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Metal hang on?
Metal is rocked! Swift is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Swift is looking to take a break and control but Metal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Swift is thwarting Metal's attempts to control the position. Swift content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Chuck Swift is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Chuck Swift just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Swift lands a jab to Metal's midsection. Swift misses with a head kick.
Swift feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Swift has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Swift looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Swift gets to his feet - Metal follows without any prompting. Heavy Metal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Heavy Metal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice body punch from Swift. Swift scores with a shot to the body.
Swift moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Swift stuns Metal with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. A right-left combo lands from Swift.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swift fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Metal looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Swift lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Swift connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Swift moves into the clinch successfully.
Swift's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Swift successfully pulls guard.
Swift seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Chuck Swift showed his dominance in that final round. Well Swift has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
