The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welch pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Welch throws a right hand that Ryan ducks under and follows up with a left that Ryan also avoids with ease.
Welch throws a lazy uppercut
and Ryan counters with a nice body shot.
Welch throws a right and a left that Ryan avoids nicely.
Ryan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ryan moves out of range as Welch strikes.
Ryan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Welch swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A counter left hand to the body from Ryan misses its target.
Ryan jabs at Welch's body.
Welch misses with a hook. Ryan ducked under it nicely.

Ryan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Welch swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ryan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Welch moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ryan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Welch misses with a lunging right hand
and Welch takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Welch tries to bum rush Ryan with a series of wild strikes but Ryan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A little feinted left hand from Ryan on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Welch lands with a shot to the body.

Welch dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ryan is looking to wear down Welch with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
and Ryan counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Welch! He's just covering up as Ryan starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
