Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arman Avangyan (ranked 2553 p4p, 3735 weight class) and Adriano Muniz (ranked 319 p4p, 415 weight class). Adriano Muniz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arman Avangyan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adriano Muniz! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Muniz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Muniz drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Avangyan defends it well. Arman Avangyan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Avangyan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Muniz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Avangyan pulls his head out easily. Muniz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Muniz taking some punishment here, with Avangyan in his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Avangyan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Avangyan working Muniz over with strikes. Muniz looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Avangyan pushes past his half guard into mount! Avangyan breaks from Muniz's wrist control and lands an elbow.
It looks like Adriano Muniz has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Avangyan landing shots from mount. Muniz is trying to escape the mount.
Muniz is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Avangyan lands a big shot there that rocks Muniz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Muniz is rocked! Avangyan postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Muniz badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Avangyan around the waist but Avangyan pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Avangyan is the winner by TKO! Avangyan jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arman Avangyan! In his post fight interview, Arman Avangyan started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
