Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Balin Trollslayer (ranked 24 p4p, 229 weight class) and Maro Pjetlic (ranked 4 p4p, 31 weight class). Pjetlic is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Legend. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 27 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Balin Trollslayer! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maro Pjetlic! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pjetlic swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Trollslayer counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pjetlic! Trollslayer misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Trollslayer cracks Pjetlic with a big elbow. Trollslayer lands a few punches from side control. Trollslayer scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Pjetlic to see if he's OK. Trollslayer landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. The strikes coming from Trollslayer are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Pjetlic parries the strikes from Trollslayer easily there. Trollslayer is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pjetlic to escape.
Trollslayer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pjetlic avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Trollslayer. Trollslayer misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Trollslayer throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Pjetlic defending against the ground and pound. Trollslayer lands a few punches from side control. Trollslayer grinds an elbow into Pjetlic's temple. Trollslayer working the ground and pound but Pjetlic is defending the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pjetlic dodges the ground and pound from Trollslayer. Sloppy strikes there by Trollslayer. Pjetlic felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Trollslayer creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Trollslayer in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Pjetlic managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Trollslayer.
Pjetlic is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Pjetlic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trollslayer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Trollslayer looks up at the clock and then as Pjetlic takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Trollslayer smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Pjetlic takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Pjetlic is rocked! Trollslayer cracks Pjetlic with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Trollslayer immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Pjetlic is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Trollslayer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Balin Trollslayer! Balin Trollslayer retains his heavyweight title!
