Svenkter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is heavy bass test. Hargol Svenkter has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zakharov tries to clinch but Svenkter moves away
and Svenkter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Zakharov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Hargol Svenkter has been cut.
Zakharov moves in looking to clinch but Svenkter pushes him off.
Svenkter keeps the fight on the outside.
An attempted straight right counter from Svenkter misses the target.
Zakharov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Zakharov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Svenkter manages to avoid it.

and Svenkter counters with a nice right hand that sends Zakharov toppling to the canvas! Zakharov scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Svenkter finish him?!

It looks like Leonid Zakharov has been cut.
Zakharov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Svenkter misses with an attempted mid kick.
