Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Nimoy (ranked 1708 p4p, 1423 weight class) and African King (ranked 254 p4p, 215 weight class). Leonard Nimoy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonard Nimoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, African King!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Nimoy.
Nimoy attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that King has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
African King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King throws a leg kick
and Nimoy counters with a nice body shot.
King lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Nimoy pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
King connects with a good right hand that stumbles Nimoy. Nimoy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Nimoy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
King throws a jab but it's blocked by Nimoy.
King takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nimoy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from King.
King pulls out of a head kick attempt.
King wants to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
King forces Nimoy back against the cage and clinches.
King lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Nimoy backwards.
Nimoy misses with a hook from the clinch.
King is trying to pull guard but Nimoy turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
King swings wildly with an uppercut but Nimoy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nimoy tries to work over King's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Nimoy presses King against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Nimoy misses with some punches.
Nimoy goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
King lands with a left to the head.
King fails to pull guard.
Leonard Nimoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of African King.
King jumps guard but Nimoy turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Nimoy lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
King blocking some punches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for King.
King gets control of Nimoy's arms and successfully pulls guard. King will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Nimoy looking to pass the guard.
King isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nimoy stacks King on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nimoy!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nimoy wants to lay and pray for a moment but King keeps working.
King is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King can't do much from the bottom here.
King is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
King wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nimoy is taking a breather. King says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
King tries to roll over but Nimoy keeps him under control.
Nimoy is looking to advance position but King won't allow it.
King looking for submissions off his back.
King trying to control but Nimoy postures up.
King tries to get to full guard but Nimoy has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
King tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
King gets back to full guard.
King keeping moving, preventing Nimoy from controlling successfully.
Nimoy got a little sloppy there for a moment and King has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nimoy has managed to get both his arms back between King's legs - danger averted.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
King is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Nimoy wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but African King will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A telegraphed right hand from King misses the target.
A big left from Nimoy misses.
Nice cross by Nimoy.
King fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nimoy, pushing him back against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
A short right from Nimoy.
King decides to pull guard.
King is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nimoy is aware though and is defending well.
King manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nimoy manages to get himself to full guard.
King wants to pass the guard but Nimoy is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nimoy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst King is controlling him.
King throwing strikes but missing.

King drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nimoy dives on top into guard.
King keeping moving, preventing Nimoy from controlling successfully.
King looking for a guillotine here but Nimoy defends easily.
King is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nimoy defends well.
Nimoy showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

King wants to sweep here but Nimoy controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King has his hands on Nimoy's head, controlling the position.
Nimoy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
Nimoy is sitting in close to King's body. King has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Nimoy is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Nimoy is tapping! That was a very nice submission by King.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). African King!
African King was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
