Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Corcoran (ranked 422 p4p, 418 weight class) and Andrei Averyanov (ranked 66 p4p, 65 weight class). Averyanov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Drago's Entrance Theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrei Averyanov!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corcoran throws a lazy head kick
and Averyanov counters with a good low kick that Corcoran was not able to check.
Averyanov lands a glancing blow to the side of Corcoran's head.

It looks like Vinny Corcoran has been cut.
Averyanov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Averyanov catches Corcoran with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Averyanov throws a right hand that Corcoran ducks under and follows up with a left that Corcoran also avoids with ease.
Corcoran displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Averyanov throws out the jab.
Averyanov throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Corcoran counters with a three punch combo that has Averyanov backing up. Averyanov nods at Corcoran to acknowledge the strikes.
Nice uppercut lands for Averyanov. That snapped Corcoran's head back.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Averyanov misses with a straight left.

Averyanov takes one to the side of the head.
Corcoran takes a kick to the side of the head.

Vinny Corcoran's cut is getting worse.
Corcoran uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Averyanov.
A bone on bone clash there as Corcoran blocks the leg kick.
Averyanov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corcoran circles away quickly and effectively.
Corcoran looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Corcoran with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Averyanov to score with a decent uppercut.
Averyanov looks to land a right hand but Corcoran moved out of range.
Averyanov tries a low kick but Corcoran avoids it.
Averyanov scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Corcoran throws a body punch but Averyanov moves out of range.
Averyanov looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Corcoran closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Vinny Corcoran's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Averyanov has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Corcoran misses with a straight right.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Averyanov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Corcoran sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Corcoran throws a counter high kick but Averyanov was just alert enough to avoid it.
Corcoran ducks under a wild hook from Averyanov.
A little feinted left hand from Corcoran on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Averyanov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Averyanov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Corcoran. That did some damage!
Corcoran digs a good body shot into Averyanov's ribs.
Corcoran uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Averyanov.
Corcoran jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Corcoran is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Averyanov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Corcoran defending well as Averyanov loads up on a big left hand.
Corcoran thinks about countering with a body kick.
Averyanov throws a sloppy head kick and Corcoran moves out of range easily.
Corcoran tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Corcoran takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Averyanov lands a high kick!
Averyanov works the jab nicely.

Jeez, Vinny Corcoran's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Vinny Corcoran's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

A relieved looking Andrei Averyanov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
