The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Franco closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Takanori's guard.

Takanori manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franco has had enough of the clinch but Takanori keeps him there for the moment.

Franco manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Takanori on his heels. He'll look to pass Takanori's guard now, I'm sure.

Takanori has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Franco to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Takanori is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Franco pulls down on the head and he's put Takanori to sleep! This one is all over!
