Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Smith (ranked 1653 p4p, 2324 weight class) and Bean Bryant (ranked 245 p4p, 335 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bean Bryant ! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bryant tries a head kick but it misses.
Bryant has managed to clinch.
Smith misses with some punches.
Smith has Bryant pressed against the cage, preventing Bryant from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Bryant tries to circle away but Smith has him pinned against the cage. Smith throws a head punch that misses. Smith keeps control of Bryant as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A head punch on the inside from Smith fails to land. Smith lands a nice uppercut. Bryant is trying to break the clinch but Smith is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith misses with a punch to the body.
Smith keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bryant 's efforts to push away. Bryant is looking to break free of the clinch but Smith has double underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith cracks Bryant with a nice body shot. Smith lands a body shot in the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Smith. Smith keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bryant 's efforts to push away. Smith lands a nice shot to the body. Smith fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Smith throws a punch but it's blocked by Bryant . Smith misses with a punch on the inside.
Bryant has had enough of the clinch but Smith keeps him there for the moment. A frustrated look appears on Bryant 's face as he tries to break the clinch. Bryant missing with knees to the body.
Smith scores with a shoulder strike. Bryant 's coach down at Besta-Fera Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bryant 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Bryant prevents a body shot from Smith.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bryant is looking to break free of the clinch but Smith has double underhooks. Smith throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Bryant s head.
It looks like Bean Bryant has been cut. Bryant wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Smith has him pressed against the cage. Bryant ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away. Bryant buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

It looks like Rob Smith has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A lazy left from Smith finds it's target. Smith blocks a head kick by Bryant .

Smith uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bryant was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith. Rob Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bryant tries to clinch but fails miserably letting Smith counter with a right hand. Bryant will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bryant moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Smith throws a right and a left that both miss. Bryant takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Smith's corner calls for a 1-2. Smith obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Smith takes a swing at Bryant 's ribcage but misses. Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bryant manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bryant throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Smith attempts a counter takedown but Bryant avoids it well and moves away. Bryant throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Bryant wants to clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smith moves into range and clinches up with Bryant .
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith lands a shot to the body. Bryant working hard to break the clinch. Smith swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Smith throws a head punch that misses. Smith scores with a nice hook to the head. Smith pushes Bryant back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
That has opened up Bean Bryant 's cut even more. Smith lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Bryant . Smith lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Smith lands a hook to the side of the head. Smith lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bryant backwards. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Smith dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! and Smith counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Bryant ! He's just covering up as Smith starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Smith!
