Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paulo Kimura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tadao Sato! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato scores with a one two! Kimura had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Sato feints a jab promting Kimura to slip. Sato then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kimura slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Kimura scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Sato to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
Sato is rocked!
It looks like Tadao Sato has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kimura plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Sato to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Sato just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Paulo Kimura!
