PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Koh Ibu (ranked 5352 p4p, 23228 weight class) and En Route (ranked 424 p4p, 458 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Route takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ibu smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Route counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Ibu checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Ibu looks for the body kick but Route saw that one coming.
Route looks to land a right hand but Ibu moved out of range.

Route fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ibu, pushing him back against the ropes.
A frustrated look appears on Ibu's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Ibu misses with the head strike.

Ibu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ibu tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Route's elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Route cracks Ibu with a big uppercut, right up the middle and Ibu goes down! Oh, he's hurt! He's bigtime hurt! The referee is giving him a chance to get back to his feet - 4,5,6,7, no, he's called it off! Ibu wasn't going to make it and the fight is over!

A relieved looking En Route thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
