Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24896 p4p, 24812 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walay Buut acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut feints and as Buktot raises his hands in defense, Buut changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Buktot looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Buut controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot has control of Buut's left arm, preventing Buut from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Buktot controlling Buut's posture. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Buktot continues to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Buktot shoots for a double leg takedown but Buut sprawls well. He's pushed Buktot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Buut follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Buut manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Buktot on his heels. He'll look to pass Buktot's guard now, I'm sure. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Buktot can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Buut controls the pace. Buktot managing to control the position. Buktot has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Buktot trying to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Buut is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Buut keeps Buktot at a distance using the push kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut dominated that round. That's time! Buktot's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Buut shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Buktot is looking to counter with head kicks. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Buut. Buut will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut scores with a spinning back kick! Buktot tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buut swivels and escapes.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Buut is defended easily by Buktot. It looked like Buktot was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Buut. Buktot misses with a takedown and Buut counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Buktot thinking.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buut feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Buktot looking to control.
Buut trying to control but Buktot is working from the bottom. Buktot managing to control the position. Buktot's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Buut changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Buktot tries to avoid it but Buut manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Buktot to the ground. Buktot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Buktot fires out a quick counter leg kick but Buut just manages to avoid it. Buktot goes for a double leg but Buut avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Buut continues to drive forward. Buktot changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Buut fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Buktot fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot shoots in looking for a takedown but Buut manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Buktot's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Horrible takedown attempt by Buktot or perhaps it was just good defense by Buut, which made it look bad. Buut follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Buut looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot controlling the position well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut content to control rather than advance. Buut is continuing to stall. Walay Buut has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Buktot dives in and grabs Buut's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buut pushes down on Buktot's head and hops out. Buut steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Buktot misses with a body kick. Buut fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Buktot sprawls well initially but Buut persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Buktot controlling the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well, if Buut is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Dawindi Buktot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Walay Buut is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that's the end of the fight! Walay Buut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Buut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
