PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Blaydes (ranked 1489 p4p, 1961 weight class) and Eddie Bravo (ranked 194 p4p, 247 weight class). Blaydes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Black Sunshine - White Zombie. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaydes thuds his shin into the meat of Bravo's side.
Bravo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
And Bravo tries to counter it with a takedown but Blaydes pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Bravo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Bravo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Blaydes!

Bravo has hold of Blaydes's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Blaydes manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bravo misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Bravo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Blaydes is now in Bravo's guard. A big mistake from Bravo there, giving up the dominant position!

Bravo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blaydes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Blaydes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Bravo has his feet on Blaydes's thighs here. He's pushed Blaydes off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Blaydes screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
