PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greg Bustack (ranked 22757 p4p, 4258 weight class) and Keanu Landron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Greg Bustack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keanu Landron!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Ben Watson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Landron clinches with his opponent.

Bustack gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Landron regains guard.

Landron is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Bustack presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Bustack has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Landron clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bustack is hanging on to Landron's back as he tries to escape.

Landron tries to roll but Bustack sticks to his back.

Bustack is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Landron has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
You can see the frustration on Landron's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Landron manages to reverse the position and now he's in Bustack's guard. Nice work there by Landron.
Landron passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Landron tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Landron has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Landron trying to control the action but Bustack is working from the bottom.
Landron is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bustack will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Bustack takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Landron is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bustack is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Landron works to advance to full mount. Bustack defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Landron is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Landron!
