This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 10 losses; Shaka Zulu!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Jackson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Zulu to the ground. Jackson is now in Zulu's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Jackson (2) vs (0) Zulu

Zulu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well.
Zulu pulls Jackson in close to his closed guard and prevents Jackson from doing any damage or advancing position.

Zulu sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Zulu might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zulu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Zulu's legs - danger averted.

Jackson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Zulu's shoulder. That is not cool.
Zulu tries to buck Jackson off but Jackson is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zulu has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Zulu's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling Jackson's hands.

Zulu just trying to survive but Jackson is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Jackson slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Jackson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Zulu for as long as he can get away with.
You can see the frustration on Zulu's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

It looks like Zulu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
