The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albright fails in his attempt to clinch.
Eugene Albright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Albright closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Albright is pressing down on Fritz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fritz is holding on for now.
Fritz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Albright is working away from the top position though.
Albright looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The fighters are battling for position here. Fritz manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Albright avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fritz is looking for a triangle but Albright pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Albright thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Albright trying to control the position from guard on top but Fritz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Fritz had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Albright is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fritz Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Albright's back instead.
Fritz tries to get the hooks in deep but Albright pushed the leg off.
Fritz is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Albright knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Albright for a finish.
Fritz looks gassed!
Albright rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
