PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Silverstein (ranked 22109 p4p, 6019 weight class) and Zambosurian Inday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zambosurian Inday told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Klaus Silverstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zambosurian Inday!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inday with a poor takedown
and Silverstein counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Inday looks for a takedown but Silverstein sprawls well.
Silverstein throws a big counter combination but Inday scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Silverstein scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inday misses with a takedown attempt - Silverstein sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Klaus Silverstein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zambosurian Inday.

Silverstein has managed to clinch.

Inday looking for a takedown.
Inday is trying to break free.
Inday wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Inday changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silverstein fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Inday fails to land the takedown.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Inday shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Silverstein to counter with a crisp jab.

Silverstein moves into the clinch.

Silverstein lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Inday is trying to control but can't.
Inday keeping hold of Silverstein's head, controlling as best he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Silverstein is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Silverstein is looking to advance position but Inday won't allow it.
Silverstein is taking a breather. Inday says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Inday trying to control from the bottom.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Klaus Silverstein dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Silverstein drives through and clinches with Inday against the cage.

Silverstein pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Silverstein drives through with a takedown into Inday's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Silverstein is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silverstein wants to pass the guard but Inday is keeping the position.

Silverstein is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Inday is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Silverstein keeping moving, preventing Inday from controlling successfully.

Silverstein is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Silverstein is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Inday wants to control from the top but Silverstein keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silverstein will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Inday has his takedown stuffed
and Silverstein counters with a nice uppercut.

Silverstein drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Klaus Silverstein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Inday can't do much from the bottom here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Klaus Silverstein dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Silverstein takes the fight into the clinch.
Inday is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Silverstein gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Silverstein has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Inday clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inday tries to escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Inday wants to control his opponent's hands but Silverstein gets his hands free.
Inday might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Silverstein haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Good control from Silverstein.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Inday is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Silverstein off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silverstein avoiding Inday 's attempts to control his hands.
Inday tries to escape but Silverstein has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Klaus Silverstein is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Silverstein has good solid back control here.
Inday trying to control the position but Silverstein manages to sink in the hooks.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Inday is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Silverstein.
Zambosurian Inday has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
Klaus Silverstein showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Silverstein has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
