Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Hevel (ranked 4435 p4p, 4348 weight class) and Trayvon Lewis (ranked 527 p4p, 520 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Hevel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trayvon Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Skip Squint and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis circles away from the clinch attempt.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hevel.
Lewis takes a kick to the side of the head.
Lewis blocks a jab.
Hevel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hevel tries for a takedown but Lewis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lewis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lewis tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hevel thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hevel dives in for a single leg takedown but Lewis sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hevel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Hevel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lewis smiles and moves away.

Horrible takedown attempt by Hevel or perhaps it was just good defense by Lewis, which made it look bad.

Hevel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lewis sprawls well. Lewis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hevel gets slowly back to his feet.

Hevel has closed the distance and engaged Lewis in a clinch.

Hevel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lewis's waist but Lewis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hevel off to one side.

Lewis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hevel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hevel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lewis on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hevel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hevel tries to get out of the position.
Lewis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hevel's face.

Tim Hevel's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Lewis has hold of Hevel's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hevel manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hevel seems to have got his legs back now.
Lewis cracks Hevel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Jeez, Tim Hevel's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tim Hevel's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
