Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivan Chodnovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mason St Jaques!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chodnovski connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between St Jaques's hands.
Chodnovski scores with a nice right hand.
Chodnovski connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Chodnovski pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces St Jaques back to the cage. Chodnovski follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Chodnovski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
St Jaques takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ivan Chodnovski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chodnovski gets caught flat footed, as St Jaques shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
St Jaques controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
It looks like St Jaques might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
St Jaques pushes down on Chodnovski's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Chodnovski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Still in half guard, St Jaques seems content to control.

St Jaques is working for a kimura but Chodnovski is defending it quite comfortably.
St Jaques performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Let's hope that St Jaques has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
St Jaques working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
St Jaques landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with St Jaques in particular looking to stall.
St Jaques is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Chodnovski!
Chodnovski wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by St Jaques.
Chodnovski takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

St Jaques looking to isolate an arm here. Chodnovski doesn't see it coming and as St Jaques extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by St Jaques!
