The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kylos throws a right and a left that both miss.
Spong throws a head kick but Kylos moves out of range.
Kylos lands the left hand.

Kylos drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kylos throws a strike but Spong avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kylos lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Kylos stands and throws Spong's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Spong is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kylos connects with a decent elbow.
Spong dodges the ground and pound from Kylos.
Kylos creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Kylos sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Spong is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Spong is looking for a sweep.
Kylos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spong keeps working.
Spong on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Spong parries the strikes from Kylos easily there. Kylos is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Spong to escape.
