Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Juan David Franco (ranked 1204 p4p, 3863 weight class) and Sergej Kusnemirpow (ranked 175 p4p, 496 weight class). Franco comes to the cage accompanied by Bullet For My Valentine- Tears Don't Fall. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juan David Franco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergej Kusnemirpow!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco misses with a head kick.
Franco moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Franco throws a hook but Kusnemirpow blocks it.
Franco tests Kusnemirpow's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Franco connects with a nice looking jab.
Kusnemirpow ducks under a wild hook from Franco.
A little jabbing left from Kusnemirpow on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Franco throws a body shot but no joy.
Kusnemirpow swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice leg kick from Franco, right into the meat of the thigh.
Franco lands with a good body shot.
Franco lands a front kick.
Franco throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kusnemirpow takes one on the button.
Franco lands with a good body shot.
Kusnemirpow looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Franco drops Kusnemirpow with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kusnemirpow looks back up at him and smiles so Franco waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Kusnemirpow is rocked!

It looks like Sergej Kusnemirpow has been cut.
Franco seems to be stalking Kusnemirpow here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Kusnemirpow drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Juan David Franco!
