Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard John Salvacion (ranked 24445 p4p, 3462 weight class) and Pedro Dantas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Salvacion avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dantas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dantas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
