Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eli Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matt Brown! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown checks a leg kick. Brown scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Eli Williams has been cut. Williams showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Brown.
Williams closes the distance and clinches. Williams has Brown pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Brown manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Williams looking for a takedown. Williams goes for a takedown attempt but Brown pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eli Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him. Williams gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Williams controlling the action here for a moment.

Williams moves out of range of the strikes. Brown blocks a jab. Williams closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brown did well to prevent Williams getting side control. Williams scoring with strikes to the body and head. Williams thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Brown blocking the ground and pound attempt from Williams. Williams slows the pace down in half guard. Williams is looking to pass Brown's guard but actually Brown recovers to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams trying to control but Brown is working from the bottom. Williams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Williams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Williams clinches up against the cage. A bit of stalling here from Williams.
Williams goes for a takedown in the clinch but Brown prevents it.

Williams is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Williams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brown walks away with a smile on his face. Williams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eli Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown missing with a left hand there. Williams was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Brown fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Brown gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Williams.

Brown blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Williams changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brown fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Williams moves into the clinch successfully.
Williams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Brown bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Williams's head backwards. Williams goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Williams uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brown. Williams moves out of range as Brown strikes. Williams misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams misses with a double jab.
Williams gets the takedown into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The ground and pound from Williams seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Brown regains half guard there - taking advantage of Williams's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Williams tries to pass to full mount but Brown defends it. Williams looks to land a strike but Brown avoids it nicely and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eli Williams dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Eli Williams's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Brown uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williams.
Brown will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Williams ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Williams shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Brown takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Williams throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Brown because Williams loaded up on that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown avoids a strike by Williams and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Williams's guard! Fantastic escape!

Williams has clasped his hands together around Brown's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Williams trying to control the position but Brown is working away. Brown regains half guard, as Williams was trying to land strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Williams is looking to take a break and control but Brown is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Williams working the head and body with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brown's head. Williams stalling away here and it's allowed Brown to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Brown gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Williams wants to sweep but no luck.
And that's the end of the fight! Eli Williams showed his dominance in that final round. I think Williams has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
