Moustaffa comes to the cage accompanied by Robot Stop by King Gizard & The Lizard Wizard. O Brien has chosen Sweet Leaf as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aahad Moustaffa!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miles O Brien!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Brien bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
O Brien thows a left - swing and a miss!
We've been told by Moustaffa's head coaches at Brotherhood MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
O Brien misses the jab.
A little feinted left hand from Moustaffa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Moustaffa dips to his left and cracks O Brien with an uppercut!
Moustaffa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling O Brien to score with a decent uppercut.
O Brien staying out of range there.
O Brien looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
O Brien moves out of range of the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moustaffa slips under a jab from O Brien.
An attempted straight right counter from Moustaffa misses the target.
A clash of legs there as O Brien blocks the low kick.
O Brien tests Moustaffa's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Moustaffa is rocked!
Moustaffa thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's one minute gone in the round.
O Brien lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh Moustaffa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
O Brien looks to score with a jab to the body but Moustaffa is just out of range.
O Brien fakes the body blow, causing Moustaffa to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Moustaffa goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Miles O Brien!
