Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ed Bridger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Night Lights! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lights takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Lights misses with a takedown attempt - Bridger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lights takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Lights has his takedown stuffed and Bridger counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Lights doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bridger counters with a leg kick. Ed Bridger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Night Lights. Lights's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bridger connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lights scrambles back to his feet. Bridger lands with a nice body kick. Bridger smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Bridger scores with a kick to the midsection. Lights looks winded! Bridger scores with a head kick. Lights tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bridger connects with an inside leg kick. Lights fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bridger lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bridger scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Bridger scores with a jab. Bridger listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Bridger catches Lights with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Lights has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bridger. Lights sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Bridger - that will leave a mark!
Bridger throws a leg kick which misses Lights's front leg but catches the back leg as Lights tries to avoid it. Bridger dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A slapping leg kick lands for Bridger.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bridger plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! A chopping leg kick lands by Bridger. Lights on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Lights is rocked! Bridger with a body punch. A glancing blow. Lights is still on wobbly legs! Can Bridger finish him? Lights gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Bridger gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Bridger! Ed Bridger really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Distinct Label logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. In defeat, Night Lights stepped up to the mic, saying 'Losing is part of learning, you will never be one of the great in your craft if you didn't experience losing.'.
