Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greg Bustack (ranked 22720 p4p, 4282 weight class) and Joseph Amoah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Greg Bustack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joseph Amoah!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Darius Henderson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bustack closes the distance looking to clinch

and Amoah counters with a takedown into side control.
Amoah trying to control the position but Bustack is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Amoah advances to full mount.
Amoah controlling from the full mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Amoah has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Bustack bucks up and throws Amoah to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Bustack pushes Amoah up against the cage in a clinch.
Bustack wants a takedown.
Amoah creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bustack's defenses.

It looks like Greg Bustack has been cut.
Amoah displaying some good clinch control by pressing Bustack up against the cage.
Amoah tries a knee to the head but Bustack blocks it.
Bustack is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Amoah content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Bustack wants a takedown but no success here.

Amoah is trying to trip Bustack. He has hold of a leg but Bustack is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Amoah persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Bustack pushes Amoah off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bustack tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Amoah paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Amoah feints the counter takedown.

Amoah clinches with his opponent.

Amoah jumps into guard, dragging Bustack to the mat.

Bustack drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Amoah dives on top into guard.

Amoah is looking to advance position but Bustack has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Amoah wants to hold on but Bustack pushes him away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amoah manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Amoah is looking for a sweep. Bustack is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bustack is looking for submissions but instead, Amoah has regained full guard.
Bustack knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Amoah on the ground.
Amoah lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Amoah has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Bustack drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Amoah dives on top into guard.

Bustack is breathing heavily.
Amoah throws a big elbow that misses.
Amoah postures up in Bustack's guard and throws a big left but Bustack blocks it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Amoah slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Bustack is working an open guard so Amoah takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Amoah closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bustack changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Amoah fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Amoah looking to score a takedown here. Bustack is defending well but Amoah drives through and ends up in Bustack's guard.
Amoah pushes down on Bustack's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Amoah throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bustack tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Amoah is in Bustack's guard.
Bustack has momentary wrist control but Amoah slips an elbow through the middle.
Bustack wants to stand up but Amoah is controlling him.
Amoah content to stall in guard here.

Amoah with a nice head shot there.
Amoah passes Bustack's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Amoah tries to pass to full mount but Bustack defends it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bustack is trying to stand.

Amoah stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Bustack tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Amoah manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Amoah shoots in and bounces Bustack off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Amoah distracts Bustack with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Amoah works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Amoah content to control rather than advance.
Amoah not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Amoah lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Amoah works his way into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bustack takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amoah decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bustack to his feet.
Amoah pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Joseph Amoah is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Amoah closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bustack did well to prevent Amoah getting side control.

Amoah is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amoah controlling the pace.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Joseph Amoah showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, if Amoah is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Amoah takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Amoah is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Amoah sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bustack's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Amoah slips a nice elbow through Bustack's hands, connecting with Bustack's forehead.
Amoah works his way into side control.
Joseph Amoah has got the better of the ground game so far.

Amoah decides to stand back up. Amoah steps back and let's Bustack get back to his feet.

Bustack takes the fight into the clinch.

Amoah is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bustack can't fight it off and eventually Amoah manages to take the fight to the floor. Bustack looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bustack is wriggling around but Amoah manages to pass to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Amoah stalling.
Amoah tries to pass to full mount but Bustack defends it.
Amoah controlling the pace.
Amoah missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Amoah performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Amoah working the head and body with strikes.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amoah is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Greg Bustack has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Joseph Amoah is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Amoah decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Joseph Amoah comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Amoah has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
