Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dwayne Mill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Raymond King! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mill tries to clinch but King moves out of range. Mill throws a body shot but no joy. King is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Mill tries to keep at a distance but King has taken the fight into the clinch. King is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Still in the clinch, King scores with a nice short uppercut. King is defending well against a takedown attempt. King avoiding damage.
Mill is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but King is keeping busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Raymond King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by King.
King throws a right hand that Mill ducks under and follows up with a left that Mill also avoids with ease. King is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Mill like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Mill from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raymond King! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Raymond King made sure he mentioned Maximum Human Performance, along with how happy he was to win his fight. Dwayne Mill spoke after the fight, saying 'Losing is part of learning, this is just a set back and I will return next time fully prepared and ready.'.
