Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Snyder (ranked 4336 p4p, 4949 weight class) and Miguel Garces (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Snyder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miguel Garces! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snyder has a takedown stuffed. No joy there for Snyder, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Snyder fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Snyder darts in and clinches Garces up against the cage. Garces breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Garces is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Snyder gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Garces to score an easy takedown into full guard. Snyder wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Garces manages to pass to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garces has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Lionheart Combat Sports. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Snyder desperately trying to maintain half guard. Garces throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Garces trying to control the pace. Garces looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Snyder is controlling Garces's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snyder kicks Garces off and gets back to his feet. Garces lands a head kick!
Snyder gets caught napping as Garces dives in and scores a takedown. Snyder manages to retain guard. Garces postures up.
Garces throwing strikes from guard but Snyder blocks nicely. Garces is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garces sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Snyder's guard. Snyder is looking for a sweep. Garces is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Garces performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Let's hope that Garces has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Garces throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Snyder is trying to stand.
Snyder is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Garces scores with a couple of nice shots. Snyder looking for submissions off his back. Snyder is refusing to be controlled, as Garces sits in half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Garces decides to stand and escape the position. Snyder fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Garces avoids it really well and circles away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Garces dominated that round. That's time! Snyder's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Garces shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garces trying to pass the guard but Snyder defending well. Snyder tries to roll over but Garces keeps him under control. Garces keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garces trying to control the action but Snyder is working from the bottom. Garces works his way into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snyder struggling a bit here. Garces is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Snyder is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Garces is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Snyder has escaped the position, nice work there. Snyder is not content to let Garces control the position. Snyder sneaks back into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Garces stands up out of the half guard. Snyder gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Garces to score an easy takedown into full guard. Garces trying to control but Snyder is working from the bottom. Snyder is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Snyder looking for a sweep. Not yet Snyder, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garces lands a couple of digs. Garces stopping the sweep attempt from Snyder. Garces has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Garces stands up from Snyder's guard - Garces perhaps looking for a knockout. Snyder has taken the fight to the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Garces jumps guard and drags Snyder to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Snyder not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Snyder throws a strike but Garces rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snyder keeping moving, preventing Garces from controlling successfully. Garces looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Snyder looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Garces passes into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Snyder is trying to get back to full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Garces showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Snyder cracks Garces with a right hand to the side of the head. Snyder fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Garces, pushing him back against the cage. Garces utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Snyder tries to pull guard but Garces won't allow it.
Snyder digs a right hand underneath Garces's ribcage. Garces let out a lung full of air as it connected. Snyder jumps guard but Garces turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Garces has Snyder pressed against the cage, preventing Snyder from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Garces pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garces throws a right and a left that both miss. Garces lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Garces throws a head kick that misses. Snyder shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Snyder. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garces forces Snyder back against the cage and clinches. Garces's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Garces closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Snyder's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Garces trying to control but Snyder is working from the bottom. Garces stands and steps away. Snyder gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Nice takedown defense from Garces. No joy for Snyder on that attempt. Garces decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Miguel Garces has got the better of the ground game so far. Garces stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Snyder to get to his feet. Garces buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Garces shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Snyder manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Garces is standing up over Snyder. Snyder looks to escape but Garces dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garces is looking to take a break and control but Snyder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Garces happy to just control the position for now. Garces trying to control the action but Snyder is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snyder looks to move to half guard but instead Garces has passed into mount! Damn! Garces controlling the position easily from mount. Garces lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Snyder in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Garces looking for a guillotine from mount but Snyder is having none of it. Garces is landing with some decent strikes but Snyder is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snyder tries to hold on but Garces postures up. Garces working Snyder over with strikes here. Garces content just to control the position here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Garces cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Garces looking to control but Snyder is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Garces with a couple of short strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Miguel Garces comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Garces winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
