Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zaid Al Balushi (ranked 31 p4p, 123 weight class) and Artturi Reinikainen (ranked 6 p4p, 21 weight class). Reinikainen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Viimeinen päivä. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zaid Al Balushi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 17 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artturi Reinikainen!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Balushi throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Reinikainen counters with a nice double leg into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reinikainen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Reinikainen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Al Balushi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Well Reinikainen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
