Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Petar Popara (ranked 2514 p4p, 3667 weight class) and Kamil Krahujec (ranked 357 p4p, 482 weight class). Petar Popara has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Petar Popara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kamil Krahujec! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krahujec misses with a takedown attempt and Popara counters with a nice uppercut. Popara leaves Krahujec with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kamil Krahujec seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Krahujec's coach down at Brloh was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Krahujec's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Popara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Krahujec moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Krahujec shoots in but Popara avoids the takedown attempt easily. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Popara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Popara manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Krahujec keeping moving, preventing Popara from controlling successfully. Krahujec isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Popara stacks Krahujec on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Popara! Popara taking a breather here.

Krahujec with a lazy takedown attempt and Popara cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Krahujec takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Popara swings and misses with a hook to the body.
