Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Turles (ranked 4011 p4p, 24123 weight class) and Willy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timmy Turles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willy Johnson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turles misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Turles shoots in and gets a takedown into Johnson's guard. Turles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Turles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Johnson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Turles drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Johnson dives on top into guard. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Turles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Turles looking for a guillotine here but Johnson defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson stands up and waves to Turles to follow him. Turles gets caught napping as Johnson dives in and scores a takedown. Turles manages to retain guard. Turles is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.
Johnson trying to control but Turles is working from the bottom. Turles looking for subs off his back but Johnson has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Turles looking for subs from the bottom but Johnson mounts him! Turles is trying to escape the mount.
Turles slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Johnson is looking for a kimura but Turles is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Johnson to get the leverage. Turles actively working from the bottom here. Johnson is trying to control. Turles wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Turles looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Turles is refusing to be controlled, as Johnson sits in half guard. Turles looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Turles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turles won't allow Johnson to pass to mount. Johnson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Turles looking for submissions off his back. Turles is looking to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnson is working for a kimura but Turles is defending it quite comfortably.
Turles is trying to get back to full guard. Johnson is looking to advance position but Turles won't allow it. Johnson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Turles will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Turles chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Johnson can pounce on him.
Turles misses with a takedown attempt and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Willy Johnson dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Turles will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A nice side step and Johnson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Turles has his takedown stuffed enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab. Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Johnson looks like he wants to counter punch here. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timmy Turles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Turles shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Turles gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Johnson counters with a nice right hand that sends Turles toppling to the canvas! Turles scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Johnson finish him?!
Turles is rocked! Turles misses with a takedown attempt and Johnson counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
