Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Agent Smith (ranked 380 p4p, 889 weight class) and Spider Monkey (ranked 55 p4p, 129 weight class). Agent Smith is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Agent Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spider Monkey!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Monkey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Smith lands with a thumping leg kick.
Monkey is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Smith.
Monkey bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Monkey slips a jab and a cross from Smith.
Monkey throws out a counter right but Smith avoids it with no problem.
Agent Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Smith is countered with a crisp right hand from Monkey that sends him to the canvas! Monkey follows him to the mat into side control.

Monkey is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smith knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Smith is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Roosters Coop, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Monkey is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Smith is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Monkey tries to move to mount but Smith blocks the move with his legs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheers as Smith lands an impressive looking overhand right. Monkey doesn't seem phased though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monkey throws out a loose jab but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it.
Smith tries to score with a low kick but Monkey moves his leg out of the way.

Monkey waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Smith. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Smith to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Smith lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Smith is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Smith might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Monkey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smith gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Agent Smith.
Well Monkey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
