Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eliseo Murillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Roman Dmitriev!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murillo wants to clinch.
Nice uppercut there from Dmitriev.
Murillo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dmitriev manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Murillo keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dmitriev scores with a shoulder strike.
Murillo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dmitriev throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Murillo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Murillo takes one on the button.
Murillo tries to clinch but Dmitriev is having none of it.
Dmitriev lands a jab to the head.
Murillo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dmitriev checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Murillo takes one on the button.
Murillo misses with a series of wild punches.
Murillo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dmitriev sprawls well. Dmitriev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Murillo gets slowly back to his feet.
A little jabbing left from Dmitriev on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Dmitriev connects with a body shot.
Dmitriev connects with a looping right hand.
Murillo throws a low kick but Dmitriev avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Murillo tries a head kick but it misses.
Dmitriev cracks Murillo with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Murillo looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Dmitriev finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dmitriev scores with a shot to the body.
Murillo is breathing heavily.
Murillo glances at the clock... BAM! Dmitriev nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Murillo crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Murillo is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roman Dmitriev!
