Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Soren Hansen (ranked 1756 p4p, 2300 weight class) and Kobe Knight (ranked 236 p4p, 291 weight class). Hansen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is If I had a heart. Soren Hansen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kobe Knight's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Soren Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kobe Knight!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Hansen or perhaps it was just good defense by Knight, which made it look bad.

It looks like Soren Hansen has been cut.
Hansen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Hansen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Knight swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Soren Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice body kick from Knight.
A nice leg kick lands there from Knight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight tries to score with a low kick but Hansen moves his leg out of the way.
Hansen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Knight connects with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Knight as he jumps to the side.
Knight throws a hook but Hansen avoids it easily.
Hansen walks into a left hand.
Hansen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A nice leg kick from Knight, right into the meat of the thigh.
Knight throws a body punch but Hansen moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hansen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Knight pinned against the cage. Knight gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Knight now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Knight gets caught flat footed, as Hansen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Knight is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hansen is controlling him.
Knight wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hansen manages to pass to side control.
Hansen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hansen is trying to control the action in half guard but Knight is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hansen working over Knight with some ground and pound. Knight looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Hansen passes to side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Knight really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hansen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Knight is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Knight takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Hansen in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Knight is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
