Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stuart Burrows (ranked 271 p4p, 682 weight class) and Jay Reepo (ranked 18 p4p, 37 weight class). Burrows kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Baba O'Riley. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Stuart Burrows! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jay Reepo! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burrows misses with a series of wild punches.
Reepo swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Burrows. Burrows ducks under a wild hook from Reepo. Burrows uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reepo.

We've been hearing reports that Burrows has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Reepo moves out of range of the strikes. Reepo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Burrows. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reepo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Burrows's sensitive parts. Jay Reepo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Burrows stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reepo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Burrows advances to half guard. Burrows wants to work for an arm triangle but Reepo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Reepo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Burrows throws a big shot that misses. Burrows lands a jab to Reepo's midsection. Reepo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Burrows takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

But no, Reepo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Burrows but great work by Reepo. Reepo is looking to defend but Burrows has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Reepo! Burrows pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Reepo taps out and this one is all over!
