This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 28 wins and 18 losses; Angelo Saldini! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 14 losses; Chan Siam!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Siam tries to clinch up

Saldini tries to move to mount but Siam blocks the move with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Siam holds on to Saldini's head and controls the position momentarily.
Siam felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Saldini content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Siam is trying to escape the mount but Saldini keeps good control and instead manages to take Siam's back.

What can Siam do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Siam is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Saldini is staying active.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saldini controlling the position well here. Siam rolled but Saldini kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Saldini has got one arm under Siam's chin. This could be trouble... Siam trying to control the other hand but Saldini gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Siam has tapped out! The fight is over!
