Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Komon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fonzy McSmasher! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Komon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Komon slips a jab and a cross from McSmasher.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McSmasher. Komon dodges the punch combination from McSmasher.
McSmasher shoots in but no luck this time. Komon doesn't manage to clinch there - McSmasher circles away.

McSmasher looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. McSmasher scores a takedown into full mount! McSmasher looks gassed! Komon bucks McSmasher off and manages to get back to his feet! Komon lands with a shot to the body. Komon scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Komon lands with a slapping head kick.

McSmasher is trying to trip Komon. He has hold of a leg but Komon is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. McSmasher persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Komon wants to stand up but McSmasher is controlling him. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. McSmasher trying to control but Komon is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Komon wants to get back to his feet but McSmasher is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Komon is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and McSmasher dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Komon is looking to get back to his feet here but McSmasher is keeping cool and he's managed to take Komon's back. Komon is trying to get back to his feet but McSmasher has full control of the position and if anything, Komon has just worked his way into a worse spot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Even with his hooks in, McSmasher manages to miss with strikes from the back. Komon has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Komon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from McSmasher. Horrible takedown by McSmasher or perhaps it was just good defense by Komon which made him look bad. McSmasher fails with a takedown attempt. McSmasher misses with a double jab

McSmasher throws a combination that misses and Komon counters with a head kick. That will keep McSmasher thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! McSmasher misses with a right hand and Komon counters with a big head kick but McSmasher shrugs it off. Rob Komon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A head kick from Komon lands but McSmasher takes it in his stride.
McSmasher is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Komon is looking to clinch. McSmasher is still on wobbly legs! Can Komon finish him? McSmasher throws a left and a right that both miss
and Komon counters with a big head kick but McSmasher shrugs it off. McSmasher throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Komon. McSmasher seems to have recovered his senses. Komon dodges the punch combination from McSmasher.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Komon moves in looking to clinch but McSmasher pushes him off. Komon misses with a two punch combination.

Komon throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by McSmasher.
That's one minute gone in the round. McSmasher clinches up against the cage. McSmasher breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McSmasher gets a takedown into half guard. McSmasher winds up and cracks Komon with a swinging punch to the side of the head. McSmasher sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Komon defending well though. McSmasher looks to land a strike but Komon avoids it nicely and regains full guard. McSmasher is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McSmasher passes Komon's left leg - he's now in half guard. McSmasher controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Komon is trying to stand up here but McSmasher is controlling him well. McSmasher is taking a breather. Komon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Komon scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but McSmasher manages to mount him!
Komon is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McSmasher throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Komon because McSmasher loaded up on that one. Komon holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as McSmasher tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
McSmasher cracks Komon with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
McSmasher is in the full mount, landing strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McSmasher misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McSmasher throws a right and a left that Komon avoids nicely. Komon throws a head kick but McSmasher moves out of range.

Komon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McSmasher is controlling him. McSmasher wants to control from the top but Komon keeps moving. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Komon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McSmasher is controlling him. McSmasher looking to sit in guard and control but Komon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Komon won't allow McSmasher to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Komon clinches but McSmasher breaks the clinch and McSmasher counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by McSmasher. Komon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McSmasher is controlling him. McSmasher trying to control but Komon is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McSmasher throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Komon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Komon wants to stand up but McSmasher is controlling him. McSmasher must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. McSmasher seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. McSmasher postures up in Komon's guard and throws a big left but Komon blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Komon wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and McSmasher manages to pass to side control. McSmasher gets to his feet - back to striking we go! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McSmasher misses with a double jab.
Fonzy McSmasher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! McSmasher keeps the fight on the outside. McSmasher throws a nice looking combination but Komon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Fonzy McSmasher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Komon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
